Dr. Kandace Kichler

MD, Bariatric and General Surgeon

Dr. Kandace Kichler is a board certified General Surgeon with Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery. She is the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida. She is also an Associate Professor in Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. A native of Alabama, Dr. Kichler completed her undergraduate education at Auburn University, obtaining a degree in Animal Sciences. She then went on to attend medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. Dr. Kichler moved to Florida, where she completed her residency in General Surgery at the University of Miami in Palm Beach at JFK Medical Center. Dr. Kichler completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Throughout training she developed a particular interest in Surgical & Medical Weight Loss, Nutrition and Endoscopy. She returned to practice in Palm Beach County and now performs both routine and revisional Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery and Endoscopy. Dr. Kichler is also trained to manage complex general surgical problems including hiatal hernia, reflux disease, gastroparesis and gastrointestinal malignancies. She treats diseases with minimally invasive approaches, including both laparoscopy as well as robotic surgery.
